Ralph Lauren x Wimbledon 2026

Create-Your-Own (CYO) Customisation Experience

Ralph Lauren has been a YR Experience partner for over a decade, spanning flagship retail stores and major global events. 2026 marked our fifth consecutive year running the Create-Your-Own (CYO) shop inside their Wimbledon Southern Village store, delivered as part of Ralph Lauren's official Wimbledon sponsorship.

The activation has grown every year, and 2026 was the standout so far: revenue was up 15% on the previous year, throughput and workflows were sharper than ever, and the customisation offering expanded further across both retail locations.

The Experience

Across in-store design stations at both the Centre Court and Southern Village stores, guests personalised a curated range of Ralph Lauren apparel and accessories using bespoke YR software.

Signature apparel - polo shirts, sweatshirts, tees - sat alongside accessories including caps, tote bags, and drinkware, all open to customisation.

Customisation Offering

Depending on the product, guests could personalise their pieces through:

Embroidery

  • Iconic Ralph Lauren pony logo (various sizes)

  • Monogram initials (multiple fonts and sizes)

  • Wimbledon limited-edition designs

  • Name personalisation on garment back

  • Placement options (chest, hem, sleeve, etc.)

  • 10+ thread colour options

Print Customisation

  • Exclusive Wimbledon Ralph Lauren artwork

  • Multiple placement options (chest print, large back print, etc.)

  • Custom text personalisation

  • Name and number options

Seamless Guest Journey

Once guests finished designing, they logged their details and chose same-day in-store collection or home delivery. From there, they were free to head back out and enjoy the Wimbledon grounds while their order was made, with automated SMS and email updates letting them know the moment it was ready.

Live Production System

All items were produced on-site using a fully integrated production workflow powered by our OMS (Order Management System).

We operated across two zones:

  • Front of house: immersive, theatrical design stations to engage guests

  • Back of house: high-efficiency production environment for fulfilment

Our OMS was displayed across multiple live screens throughout the workspace, with each station connected directly to production queues.

It coordinated all four customisation methods:

  • Embroidery

  • DTF printing

  • Dye sublimation

  • Sticker printing

Orders were automatically routed to the correct production queue, with machine-ready settings pre-configured for seamless execution. Each order was assigned a unique ID and physical label, ensuring accurate tracking from production to collection or shipping.

Operational Scale & Insight

The system enabled high-volume production across the two-week Wimbledon activation, supported by a team of 10 experienced staff operating daily.

Post-event analytics provided full visibility into:

  • Most popular designs, colours and techniques

  • Product demand and stock performance

  • Customer behaviour and ordering trends

These insights helped refine future creative direction, optimise stock planning, and continuously evolve the CYO offering year-on-year.

The Result

A flagship customisation experience at one of the world's most iconic sporting events - built on heritage branding, real-time personalisation, and production systems designed to keep pace with live demand.

Over the two-week Wimbledon activation, we delivered 2,700+ customised products live on-site, with revenue up 15% year-on-year - our strongest Wimbledon CYO experience yet.
