Luxury Live Customisation Retail Experience
We partnered with Karl Lagerfeld to deliver a multi-city live customisation experience for A Tribute to Karl: The White Shirt Project - a global campaign celebrating the legacy of Karl Lagerfeld through interactive retail and on-demand fashion personalisation.
The activation took place across flagship retail locations in Paris, London, and Munich, transforming Karl’s iconic white shirt into a customisable canvas inspired by his creative legacy.
The Experience
Guests were invited to personalise signature white shirts using bespoke YR design kiosks installed inside each retail space.
Through an intuitive digital interface powered by YR software, customers could explore and customise shirts using:
Karl Lagerfeld sketches and illustrations
Signature quotes and graphics
Exclusive campaign artwork
Brand logos and visual assets
The experience was designed to reflect the luxury and minimal aesthetic of the Karl Lagerfeld brand while allowing guests to create one-of-a-kind wearable pieces.
Live In-Store Production
Once designs were completed, orders were routed directly into a live on-site production workflow managed through our integrated fulfilment systems. Each shirt was printed live in-store, allowing guests to watch the production process unfold in real time.
The live printing element added a strong theatrical component to the activation, turning each purchase into both a retail experience and a personalised keepsake connected to Karl’s legacy.
Multi-City Retail Deployment
The activation was designed for seamless rollout across multiple European flagship locations, with each store operating the same connected workflow and live production system.
To ensure reliability during high-footfall periods, the experience operated through locally hosted kiosks and automated production routing systems, maintaining smooth fulfilment across all locations.
