Ralph Lauren x US Open 2026
Create-Your-Own (CYO) Customisation Experience
Since 2017, the Polo Ralph Lauren Custom Shop at the US Open has given tennis fans the opportunity to create personalised pieces inspired by the tournament. Now a long-running feature of the US Open experience, the Create Your Own (CYO) Shop brings together live printing, embroidery and digital design to make Ralph Lauren merchandise truly personal.
For the 2026 edition, YR Experience was part of the wider team behind the CYO experience, which spanned multiple locations across the tournament grounds. Over three live weeks, thousands of garments were personalised for fans, with new techniques including patching and chain stitch embroidery adding even more creative possibilities.
The Polo Ralph Lauren Custom Shop at Scale
The CYO experience extended across several locations, bringing personalisation closer to fans throughout the tournament.
At the main Polo Ralph Lauren Custom Shop, five embroidery machines and five interactive design screens enabled customers to explore personalisation options and create their own designs. Additional design screens were available in the American Express space and at Arthur Ashe Stadium’s Club Level, extending the experience to more areas of the grounds.
For customers enjoying the action from the suites, tablets equipped with design software also enabled remote orders, bringing the CYO experience beyond the traditional retail environment.
New Ways to Make It Your Own
Alongside established printing and embroidery techniques, the 2026 CYO experience introduced patching and chain stitch embroidery, expanding the range of creative options available to customers.
From distinctive patches to intricate stitched details, these additions gave fans even more ways to personalise their Ralph Lauren pieces. Combining traditional craftsmanship with live customisation created new opportunities for self-expression while maintaining the quality and attention to detail associated with the brand.
Behind the Scenes: Production at Scale
Behind the customer-facing experience, a dedicated offsite production facility on the tournament grounds supported the high volume of personalised merchandise throughout the three-week event.
The facility featured the largest DTF (direct-to-film) printing setup deployed for the CYO experience to date, supporting the production of thousands of garments across the different locations.
From live embroidery to high-volume garment printing, the experience brought together specialist equipment, skilled teams and multiple production methods to meet demand throughout the tournament.
Technology Meets Craftsmanship
The digital design experience was powered by YR ID’s software, connecting interactive design screens and tablets with the Polo Ralph Lauren Custom Shop experience.
Customers could explore design options, create their own combinations and submit orders across different locations, including from tournament suites. The technology supported the wider CYO experience, bringing digital design together with the craftsmanship required to produce each personalised item.
A Team Effort
The Polo Ralph Lauren Custom Shop at the US Open continues to bring together technology, creativity and craftsmanship, giving fans the opportunity to create something personal.
We’re proud to have been part of the 2026 CYO experience and to see this long-standing collaboration continue to evolve, with new customisation techniques and more ways for fans to make their Ralph Lauren merchandise their own.
